NEW PROGRAMME TO HIT THE UK

PREVENTION IS THE CURE - Why wait until you are injured?  Core Stability is the buzz work in fitness, but, what is it, and do we do it right?

Our take on it is this………. if you place a hand under your chin and the other right at the bottom of your abdominals (by your groin), then everything in between is your CORE.  If there is any form of instability or imbalance in this area then any activity of the peripheral limbs (arms & legs) may be compromised.

Take running as an example: if your lower back and pelvis are not functioning as well as they could be then the ability of the legs to work functionally could be compromised. As a result, injury may occur in the hips, knees, shins, ankles or feet.

FACT - running with good technique places 3-4 times your body weight through your legs

So therefore, when one runs with any imbalance, poor technique, poor posture, poor endurance etc the loading response increases proportionally.  Food for Thought

Address your flexibility, mobility, strength & balance and you can exercise knowing that what you are doing is safe.  if you don’t think about these background issues and just run, cycle, row etc you may be prone to injury.

Our Physiotherapists and Exercise Specialists can now offer you One on One Core Strengthening exercise sessions utilising our NEW Gravity GTS programme.  As part of the session you will also have a custom programme made for you to do in between sessions (based on using core balls and light resistance weights)

Take this opportunity to fill a void in your training.  Avoid having to REHABilitate yourself by having a good PREHABilitation programme.

Fees for consultation and treatment

£45.00 - per session

Testimonial

Since working with Alex and the team I have completed 2 ultra marathons, several marathon distances and approx 500 miles of running. My recovery has been quicker and any pain I had in my back from running with a heavy backpack has gone, as well as niggles like tight achilles. Neil Thubron - Marathon De Sables 2009
