The Gravity Training System (GTS) is a piece of resistance training equipment that can be used as an alternative to traditional resistance training. As the name would suggest, the system uses gravity, and your own bodyweight, to provide the resistance during the vast array exercises that can be completed.

The GTS system consists of a padded board that glides on rollers along the frame. The frame itself has a number of height settings – the higher you set the board, the harder the resistance. Along with the pulley system and squat stand, the GTS enables use for upper and lower body exercises.
One of the main benefits of the GTS is it’s versatility to target any area of the body, with multiple resistance intensities and with minimal session time lost as a result of changing weights or machines.
With multiple settings on the pulley system and the variety of body positions available on the glide board (sitting, kneeling, lying etc), the GTS offers great flexibility for all levels of training – from limited range of motion workouts for a single muscle group through to exercises that use multiple muscle groups and allow movement in a variety of directions. This can benefit clients who are looking to target certain areas of their body for toning, as well as athletes looking to increase their functionality for their sport.
Another benefit of the GTS system is that most of the exercises you undertake force you to use your core muscles – making it a fantastic way to strengthen your core. As function and control improves, the resistance can be easily changed to provide harder strength or cardiovascular workouts.
Being able to easily alter the resistance of the workout by changing the angle of the glide board also means that everyone gets a challenging workout whatever their level or ability.
The ability to provide low, controlled resistance and still take joints through full range, allows clients with current injuries or chronic issues to still feel the benefit of resistance training in a safe environment.
